We left December with a blast we had so much fun taking in the sights of Word, Symbol, and Song at The British Library.
It was amazing to see all our valued customers come out for last minute treats for their loved ones as well new faces that discovered a bit of Africa for the festive period
Now is a great time to get those fresh fabrics out, put away those woollies and now go on put those new blooms in the window!
At Mama –Sia we have been equally busy...developing our traditional African (By Hand, may I add) products with a modern twist with a slight British accent ;-)
So our cosmopolitan approach was clearly translated earlier this month when we took part in the WOW festival at the Southbank.
Loads of women (and Men!) came out to support their fellow sisters, in regards to real issue that celebrate, effect and empower women.
It was so refreshing to hear and see women share their stories. We meet some old friends, and made some new friends, who came to admire and discover the secrets of Mama-Sia Beauty, including vibrant comedian Ruby Wax who had a complementary hand massage and chat... later she came back for a Relax Yourself Body Butter, which contains calming lavender and Shea butter.
As if that wasn't enough we then went for a women's breakfast networking event in fabulous Bayswater, hosted by the PINC Foundation, who specialise Women's health, empowerment & wellbeing in Africa and the UK.
In addition we made a quick (well it was an evening really) stop over at the V&A to support the great collective org known as Collective fruits, we went to a series small intimate work shop where women explored their motivations, inspirations and show cased some of their work on their various art forms and how their role as a woman in the Arts influences their work.
