Various herbs have been sought after due to their anti-histamine properties such as chamomile, elderflower, eyebright and golden seal.
The idea is when using these kinds of methods that you remain open minded and patient, as the results appear over time, therefore its best to use the herbs throughout spring.
2-3 times a day is particularly effective for easing inflammation caused by hay fever.
If you use Chamomile tea bags save the bags after use and when cool, place one over each closed eyelid to soothe sore, itching eyes.
Drink a cup of chamomile tea two or three times a day to help ease the symptoms of hay fever.

Another way to combat hay fever is by utilising steam inhalations and essential oils, such as chamomile, lavender, rose or lemon,
Add 3-4 drops of one of the above oil’s or a blend of 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water. Cover your head and bowl with a towel and inhale the vapours. Relax and don’t forget to sleep.
